We celebrated Lutterworth Writers' Groups 35th Anniversary with the launch of our Anthology of members and past members work entitled 'The Next Chapter' .  A great morning at Highpoint in Lutterworth was enjoyed by all who attended.  Chair person Elizabeth Marsh opened the event, introducing group President Cathy Mansell. Cathy gave a short talk and introduced our guest speaker, Steve Bowkett, one of the founder members of the group. This was followed by members, Lynne Vernon, Patricia Knight and Sylvia Smith reading stories and poems from the anthology. Finally we celebrated the groups longevity with a glass of fizz and a slice of the most amazing cake created for us by Miles Bakery. Many thanks to Lutterworth Community Fund for the grant to enable us to publish the anthology and to Lutterworth Lions Club for their donation. Copies of the anthology are available but are selling fast, so do get in touch if you would like a copy at the launch price of £5.00.  Once these are sold, re orders will be more expensive!
